About Our Cathedral

Annunciation Cathedral is located at 245 Valencia Street, in the Mission District of San Francisco. Annunciation Cathedral serves over 1,000 families, primarily of Greek decent. The Cathedral serves as the Cathedral Church for the Metropolis of San Francisco and the headquarters for many fraternal and national organizations.

    9:00 am - Orthros
    10:30 am - Sunday School
    10:30 am - Divine Liturgy

    On Saturdays Vespers are at 7:00 pm.
    On Holy Days service is held at 10:00 am weekdays.

    The schedule changes in June (typically the first Sunday after Pentecost). There is no Sunday School and Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 am.  The schedule changes again in September (typically the first Sunday after the feast of the Holy Cross) on the first Sunday after Labor Day.

    Directions:
    Annunciation Cathedral is located in the heart of the historic Mission District, two blocks from Mission Dolores, the oldest building in San Francisco. The Cathedral can be accessed from:

    1) Highway 101 - Follow signs to Mission St. / Duboce exit at Duboce Avenue. Proceed two blocks up to Valencia Street. The Cathedral is located two blocks on the left.

    2) Highway 280 - Follow 280 to 101 then follow the directions in #1.

    3) Highway 280 - Exit at San Jose Avenue. This becomes Guererro Street. Follow Guererro Street to 14th Street. Make a right on 14th, and a left on Valencia Street. The Cathedral is located on your right.
