Following his recent debut with the Royal Philharmonic in London and sold-out performances in Paris, pianist Alexandros Kapelis makes his Bay Area debut at the Herbst Theater on March 20. Born of a Greek father and Peruvian mother, he has been described as “a virtuoso of the keyboard without any concession to the public nor to decadent sentimentality” (Diari de Balears, Spain), “an artist of indisputable artistic maturity” (Estia, Greece), and “one of the most promising young musicians of any nationality working in New York today”
(International Press Service - IPS).
