In the early days of Greek immigration to the San Francisco area, it was very common for Russians and Greeks to be grouped together because they were both Orthodox.


Three Greeks Killed in Train Collision

OGDEN, Utah. Jan. 23. - In a rear-end collision at Promontory Point on the Luein cut-off this morning, three Greek laborers were killed and six injured. The men were riding on a car plow at the rear of the gravel train, followed by a water train. The water train struck the gravel train and overturned the plow, instantly killing the men. The dead are Milo Cinconvich, Dono Nicovich, Marco Asketa.
