Editorial - Puts Blame on Turkey
Editor The Bulletin: In Saturday's issue of The Bulletin, Mark O. Prentiss writes: "Nearly everybody in America, it appears, is convinced that
the Turks were responsible for the fire which added the final touches of tragedy to the Smyrna horror. The motive, usually considered of supreme
importance in crimes of this sort, does not clearly point to the Turks."
Prentiss says that evidence checked by himself, together with that of Paul Grescovich, Smyrna fire department chief, points to the Armenians as
the authors of the fire. Granted that the Armenians did start the fire, would they have done this if the blood maniacle Turks were not looting
the very marrow of their lives?
Turkey did not only add "the final touches of the Smyrna horror," but Turkey also put the first touches - Turkey directed by the Versailles shufflers
of the Asia Minor "pie". These were the inventors and the executors of the Armenian horrors, and not the wretched Armenians themselves.
