Greeks Charge Turks Are Being Assisted by French Aviators

PUBLIC LEDGER CABLE SERVICE, Copyright 1922.

CONSTANTINOPLE, Sept. 1. - Dispatches from Athens indicate great confusion in the Greek capital on account of the loss of Eski Shehr. General Badjinesti, commander of the Greek army in Smyrna, is being attacked by the press , which at the same time is waging a bitter campaign against France, which is charged with sending enormous supplies to the Turks and having sent general staff officers to fight with the Kemalist forces.

Announcement in the Greek press that French aviators are operating with the Turkish army has drawn an official denial from the French minister, De Marcilly, who demanded that the Greek government issue a prompt denial that the French were co-operating in any way in Asia Minor.
