St. Sophia's Board of Trustees

When St. Sophia was formed in 1921, the president of the board was the Metropolitan of Athens. Before 1922, Greek Orthodox churches and cathedrals in the USA were under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan of Athens. In 1922, the Archdiocese of North and South America was formed and all churches and cathedrals were under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese.
