Prayer of St. Ephraim (Psalm 140)

Oh Lord and Master of My Life!
Take from me the spirit of laziness,
idle curiosity, the lust for power
and idle talk.
But rather grant to me, your servant,
the spirit of soberness, humility,
patience and love.

Yes, Oh Lord and King!
Grant me to see my own faults
and not to judge my brothers and sisters
for blessed are You! and to the ages of ages.
