Foundations of Orthodoxy is a catechetical class designed to introduce participants to the life, faith, and theology of the Orthodox Church. The course provides a structured and accessible overview of Church History, Holy Scripture, the Holy Mysteries (Sacraments), and core Orthodox theological principles, with an emphasis on how the faith is lived, prayed, and embodied within the Church.
While these classes form an essential part of the catechumen’s journey into the Orthodox Faith, they are equally open to baptized Orthodox Christians who wish to deepen their understanding of their own tradition and grow more firmly rooted in the life of the Church.
Classes are held Fridays from 6:00 PM to approximately 7:30 PM in the conference room on the second floor of the Annunciation Cathedral.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to contact our Pastoral Assistant, Nikos Makarios, at niko.makarios@annunciation.org
