Stewardship 2026
Rise Up and Build the Body of Christ
“What shall I give to the Lord in return for all His goodness towards me?” -Psalm 116:12
Stewardship at Annunciation Cathedral is a joyful and faithful response to God’s abundant blessings. It is how we offer our time, talents, and treasure in gratitude to God and in support of His Church. Through stewardship, we strengthen worship, nurture faith, preserve culture, support families, and extend Christ’s love to our community and beyond.
Our 2026 Stewardship theme, Rise Up and Build, is inspired by the call of Nehemiah to renew and rebuild not only physical walls, but the spiritual life of God’s people. Stewardship is not simply about financial support. It is about becoming active members of the Body of Christ and participating fully in the life and mission of the Church.
Our Stewardship Mission
Our Stewardship Mission at Annunciation Cathedral is to joyfully steward God’s gifts, our time, talents, and resources, in a spirit of gratitude, generosity, and faith, so that we may strengthen the ministry of our church, serve our community, and advance God’s work in the world.
Why Stewardship Matters
Because of faithful stewardship, Annunciation Cathedral continues to grow and thrive. Stewardship supports worship and music, faith formation and education, youth and family ministries, fellowship and outreach, evangelism, pastoral care, safety and staffing, and the preservation of our Cathedral for future generations.
In 2026, stewardship will help support expanded pastoral leadership, continued growth in worship and music including Byzantine Music, increased outreach and evangelism efforts, enhanced parish operations, and the development of new and existing ministries. Our 2026 Stewardship Goal is $400,000.
A New Approach to Sunday Giving
Collection trays will no longer be passed during the Divine Liturgy. This change allows for a more prayerful and uninterrupted worship experience. Stewardship offerings may be made online through Realm, by check, or by placing donations in trays located in the Narthex. Visitors and non-stewards are also welcome to leave offerings in these trays.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a steward?
The easiest way is online. Visit annunciation.org, click the Giving tab, and select “Set Your Yearly Pledge.” You may choose to set up recurring payments or simply record your pledge. Stewardship forms are also available in the Narthex, information area, and church office.
How should I decide what to give?
Begin with prayer. Reflect on your income, responsibilities, blessings, and the needs of the parish. The biblical tithe of ten percent is a traditional guide, though some families consider a five or two and a half percent commitment. What matters most is consistency, intention, and giving with love.
When should I submit my pledge?
Our stewardship year follows the calendar year. We ask that pledges be submitted by January 31, 2026, to assist with parish planning and budgeting. Pledges and payments may be updated at any time during the year.
Is my pledge confidential?
Yes. Only the Parish Treasurer and Stewardship Chair have access to individual pledge information, and confidentiality is strictly maintained. Published steward lists never include dollar amounts.
Does participation in other programs count as stewardship?
Program fees for Greek School, Dance, Athletics, and similar activities are separate from stewardship and do not count toward your stewardship pledge. These programs rely on the church’s facilities and operating budget, which stewardship supports.
Do memorials, festival donations, or building gifts count toward stewardship?
No. Stewardship is represented entirely by your stated pledge and supports the general operating needs of the Cathedral.
What if my financial situation changes?
Your pledge is a statement of intention, not a contract. If circumstances change, simply contact the Priest or Stewardship Chair. Adjustments are made with understanding and without judgment.
